Anthony J. Avino, M.D.
About Me
Dr. Avino received his undergraduate degree cum laude from Vanderbilt University and completed medical school at the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at the University of Florida Health Science Center and a year of vascular research at the Mayo Clinic. He then completed 2 additional years of training in vascular surgery at the University of South Florida.
Dr. Avino was a cofounding member of the Georgia Vascular Society and has served as Treasurer and subsequently President. He is also a cofounding member and current Treasurer of the Georgia Vascular Foundation. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Mercer University School of Medicine and an active member of multiple societies.
Dr. Avino is Board Certified in Vascular Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
